Turkey is the best country voted this year by the readers of a popular British magazine Conde Nast Traveller. The magazine claims to publish unbiased travellers reviews and opinions, and this pool is to give the informations what tourists really like during their travels.
The pool reflects mainly the choices of British readers, which generally prefer warm Mediterranean countries and Far Eastern zones of former Commonwealth influence.
Among Caribbean favourites are Antigua and Barbados. In spite of the fact of Thai hotels at the top of the best list, Thailand became one of the least popular countries due to terrorist threat.
Last years number three,Turkey is this years winner, and outnumbers rivals in accommodation, and value for money subcategories. Second is Egypt moved from the sixth position, another gainer is Spain, popular again. Italy and New Zealand dropped from the leading positions, but the differences are minimal, and the countries above are favourites for a couple of last years.
The other Turkish trophies are:
Istambul 5th Overseas City
Ciragan Palace Kempinski 6th and Four Seasons Hotel Istambul 13th in Overseas Hotels, Europe & Asia Minor
