Seeing he splendour of the chambers of Chateau de Versailles helps to understand the anger of French people, who during the Revolution in 1789 forced the king Louis XVI and Marie Antonine to abandon the palace and move to Paris.

Today the ceremonies are held in the anniversary of D-Day ( 6.Jun.1944), in front of several war monuments and on War Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer.
Mount St Michel

Perigord
The trip to Perigord allows to discover the oldest locations of human activity, including the bones of Neandertal and Cro-Magnon man.
The traces of humans were found in caves around the area, the most famous one in Lascaux preserves the oldest human paintings.
Avignon
In Middle Ages Avignon became the residence of the Popes. the splendour and strength of the city one can judge by the visit to Palais des Papes, and by seeing the remains of 15th century defense walls around the old city.
