One of the most unique places in Suth America, Iguassu Falls is visited by thousands of tourists, who usually spend there only a couple of hours, which is definitely not enough to admire this wonder of nature.
But there is an easy solution, the overnight in the beautifull hotel complex located almost at the edge of the waterfalls.

Hotel das Cataratas was built in 1930s in Portugal colonial style, but thoroughly renowated with many of modern amenities added by the end of 2010.

The standard equipment regardless of the room category includes central heating and air conditioning, mini bar, hairdryer and magnifying mirror and 32” TV screen.
the bathrooms are covered wth white marble and may have showers or bathtubes and sinks.
The interior items were designed especially for the hotel, like softwood furniture, Egyptian cotton linen
and on the room walls you may find paintings by Ludmila Demonte.

There are 193 rooms divided into seven categories, tower and waterfall suites and some junior suites feature the views on the waterfalls, the other ones have the windows on the forest, the garden or the pool.
Actually, there are two pools here, one for children and the main one with heated water during the winter months.
The area is surrounded by the tropical forest and the private paths allow to explore the exotic vegetations as well as came close to the falls edge to see the impressive play of water.
There are several possibilities to see the falls, which incllude helicopter ride, powerboat ride,kayaking and as you are staying overnigt, night excursions to see the rainbow created by the moonlight dispersed in water drops.
The jungle location does not mean the lack of some luxury amenities, there is a spa with shiatsu, a tennins court and in the neighbourhood 18-holes golf course.
